Dog Friendly

2D Con values the well-being and enjoyment of all its attendees, including those who wish to bring their furry companions. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, the following policy is in effect for dogs attending the convention. All dog owners or handlers must comply with this policy throughout the duration of the event.

Please note that service animals come first at 2D Con. If any dog disturbs a service animal they will be asked to leave.

DOG ELIGIBILITY

Only well-behaved dogs are permitted at 2D Con. Aggressive or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, and any dog displaying such behavior will be asked to leave the convention premises immediately.

Dogs must be at least six months old and fully vaccinated, including a current rabies vaccination. Owners must provide proof of vaccinations if requested by convention staff.

OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES

Dogs must be on a leash at all times while inside the convention venue, including common areas, exhibit halls, panel rooms, and outdoor spaces. The leash should be no longer than six feet.

Dogs are not allowed to relieve themselves inside the convention venue. Owners should plan regular bathroom breaks for their dogs outside the designated convention areas.

Dogs must be kept under control at all times. Owners should prevent their dogs from jumping on people, furniture, or any convention equipment.

Dogs are not allowed in areas where food is served, unless specifically designated as a dog-friendly area.

Owners are responsible for ensuring their dogs’ well-being, including providing food, water, and any necessary medication during the convention. It is recommended to bring an appropriate crate or carrier for the dog’s comfort when unattended in hotel rooms or other accommodation.

SAFETY AND LIABILITY

Owners assume full responsibility and liability for their dogs’ actions and any damages caused by their dogs. 2D Con, its organizers, staff, and venue will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from dog-related incidents.

Owners should be aware of their dog’s behavior and reactions to crowded or noisy environments. If a dog becomes stressed or anxious, it is the owner’s responsibility to remove the dog from the convention area to ensure the dog’s well-being and the safety of others.

2D Con reserves the right to deny access to any dog or owner who does not comply with the policy or poses a risk to the safety and enjoyment of other attendees.

EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

In case of emergencies or if a dog requires immediate medical attention, owners should contact convention staff or security personnel for assistance. The convention organizers will provide information on nearby veterinary services if needed.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND COMPLIANCE

By bringing their dog to 2D Con, owners acknowledge and agree to abide by all the policies and guidelines set forth in this document. Failure to comply with the policy may result in the immediate removal of the dog and owner from the convention premises without a refund

Please note that this policy is subject to change at the discretion of 2D Con organizers. It is the responsibility of dog owners to review and comply with the most up-to-date version of the policy before attending the convention.
