Introducing 2DHQ

We are excited to share the next chapter for 2D Con, our new home 2DHQ.

2DHQ will be the headquarters for all things 2D Con, including planning meetings, game nights, coworking and more.

Why 2DHQ?

For the past ten years 2D Con has grown exponentially and is now the largest gaming event as well as one of the largest fan run events in Minnesota. With that growth, as well as the addition of a secondary convention, 2D Con: Unplugged we have found ourselves with a large inventory and the need for dedicated storage.

After reviewing hundreds of storage options and the knowledge that as a gaming event we need a place to update consoles and organize inventory we decided on a dedicated space that will give us the flexibility needed for storage and work.

We also noticed that Minneapolis lacks a flexible social space that will fill the needs of our attendees and allow us to host events such as game nights, video game tournaments, craft & cosplay nights, game jams, and co-working spaces as well as a dedicated space for streaming and broadcasting.

While of of these things exist individually we wanted the flexibility to host these events ourselves while also giving our attendees and fans a small event space that they can reserve and use.

Reservations will be able to be made by anyone on the 2D Con Super Supporter tier through our Discord.

When & Where

2DHQ will be located in Northeast Minneapolis near 35W. We are expecting to host our grand opening in mid-November.

Keep an eye on our Discord and social media channels for updates on 2DHQ!
