Introducing Guilds

We’re always thinking up new ways to increase community engagement and implement unique side-quests such as the 2D Con trading card game as a way to encourage attendees to get to know the people behind 2D Con and their fellow gamers.

We’re proud to introduce a new addition to 2D Con that we hope will build strong and friendly competition, Guilds.

What are Guilds?

Guilds are social hubs that encourage working together and getting to know your fellow guild-members. Currently there are four guilds: Vanguards, Wayfinders, Socialites, and Scavengers. Each guild has specific characteristics, a guild mascot, their own emblem and a private Discord chat that we are calling the Guild Hall.

Guilds will compete against each other at 2D Con events, including online events such as community nights. Guild rankings will also tie into events during 2D Con.

The Trial

In order to be placed into a guild you must undergo a guild trial.

The guild trial is a role-playing quiz. You will undergo a series of tests that will determine the guild that best fits your personality and playstyle. We recommend joining our Discord and creating an account on the 2D Con website prior to taking the trial. This is the only way to save your guild placement.

Once complete you will be placed into your respective guild. You may only take the test once.

How to take the Trial

Taking the trial and being placed in a guild is easy. While the first two steps are optional we recommend them for the full experience.

• Create an account or login to the 2D Con Website
• Join the 2D Con Discord server (Optional)
• Go to the Guild Trial page.
• Follow the trial steps.
• Upon completion you will be placed in a guild

Guild Experience

Each member of a guild will gain experience by participating in various events. Guild experience is the combined total of all members experience.

Ways to Earn Points

Currently there are a few ways to earn points.
More ways to earn are being added. You will also be able to earn points at 2D Con itself! Points do not retroactively apply. They will automatically calculate once you have been placed in a guild.

Outside of 2D Con

• 20 Points – Take the guild trial
• 10 Points – Refer a friend to take the guild trial (they must register an account)
• 100 Points – Register for 2D Con 2025: Replay
• 100 Points – Refer a friend to purchase a ticket for 2D Con 2025: Replay (they must register an account)
• 1000 Points – Refer 10 friends to take the guild trial (they must register an account)
• 2000 Points – Refer 10 friends who purchase tickets for 2D Con 2025: Replay

During 2D Con

• 100 Points – Vote at Indie Island
• 10 Points – Check out a tabletop game
• 10 Points – Participate in a tournament
• 50 Points – Complete the scavenger hunt
• 500 Points – Be the first to find the medallion during the medallion hunt
• 25 Points – For each hour of volunteering
• —More ways to earn points will be added prior to the convention

• Refer a Friend – Refer a friend to 2D Con (Gifted after they activate their account)

Joining Your Guild Hall

If you entered your Discord username during the trial you will automatically be placed in your respective Guild Hall on our Discord.

If you did not enter your username, or joined after taking the trial please reach out to one of our community managers with a screenshot of your result, or your Con Account page.
