Let’s Talk Survival

Since it’s inception in 2015 2D Con has carried on individual themes for each year that tell a story and add a unique feeling to each event.

  • Year One – 2015 – Press Start to Begin
  • Year Two – 2016 – All Your Base
  • Year Three – 2017 – Pixel Paradise
  • Year Four – 2018 – Critical Hit
  • Year Five – 2019 – Wasteland
  • Year Six – 2020 – Remaster
  • Year Seven – 2021 – Theme Unknown
  • Year Eight – 2022 – Simulation
  • Year Nine – 2023 – Another World
  • Year Ten – 2024 – Survival

This years theme is Survival an important testament to the triumphs we have overcome over the last ten years. From our first venue being sold a month before 2D Con in 2016, to 2020 and the COVID pandemics havoc on the event industry. We’ve gone through a lot and managed to survive into our 10th year.

The theme is always inspired by video game genres and relates to our overall goals for the year and the type of cosplay you can expect. From Survival games such as Minecraft and ARK to Survival Horror games such as Resident Evil or Dead Space.

We encourage attendees to cosplay from their favorite games in the genre. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorites.

  • Dead By Daylight
  • Alan Wake
  • Terraria
  • Last of Us
  • Silent Hill
  • Don’t Starve
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s
  • Resident Evil
  • Ark (the one with the dinosaurs lol)
  • Dead Space
  • Minecraft
  • Until Dawn
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Rust
  • Sea Of Thieves
  • Valheim
  • V Rising
  • Enshrouded
  • Eternal Darkness
  • 7 Days to Die
